As Director of Trusts & Estates at Alex Cooper Auctioneers, Jonathon Weber leads the firm’s Estate and Trust Appraisals Division, succeeding longtime leader Brian Cooper. Jonathon brings more than fifteen years of experience in the collecting, appraisal, and service industries, with a focus on helping families, attorneys, and fiduciaries navigate the complexities of personal property valuation during moments of transition. Before joining Alex Cooper, Jonathon served as a Decorative Arts Specialist at Weschler’s Auctioneers and Appraisers, where he conducted formal appraisals, pre-auction evaluations, and consultations for clients with diverse collections. He is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and provides USPAP-compliant appraisals for estate tax, probate, equitable distribution, and insurance purposes. Jonathon holds a Master’s in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s in History of Art and Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh. His background also includes account management with Crozier Fine Arts, collaborating with museums, institutions, and private collectors on complex art handling, storage, and logistics projects. Combining traditional connoisseurship with a modern, service-oriented approach, Jonathon is dedicated to delivering trusted, accurate, and efficient appraisal services for clients throughout the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. region.
